The National Squash Championship included as a novelty in the forty-third edition of the Guadalentín Sports Games already has winners. The player M.ª Lo Villar has been proclaimed champion of the women’s draw after defeating Elena Alvarado. Mónica Hernández and Sara Ceba have been classified third and fourth, respectively. Of the total of 28 registered in the test, eight have been women. The participants were mostly from Murcia and Valencia.
The president of the Squash Club of Lorca, José Gallardo, has highlighted “the good development of the test” that among other objectives, “seeks to promote the practice of this sport that is considered one of the most complete along with swimming.”
