The works, which begin today, will focus on the Callosa de Segura and Crevillente stations
Adif will carry out renovation and improvement works on the track bundle of the Callosa de Segura and Crevillente (Alicante) stations, located on the C1 Cercanías line, which connects the capital of Alicante with Murcia. The work, framed within the scope of actions to improve railway infrastructure, is scheduled from the night of September 15 to the early hours of November 7.
Likewise, they will be carried out at night and maintenance bands, “with the aim of not affecting rail traffic”, as reported by the public entity in a statement.
Among the objectives pursued are the increase in traffic reliability, the increase in ride comfort and the quality of the road. As well as “the optimization” of resources by reducing maintenance costs and improving the regularity of the railway operation of the line.
“This action reaffirms the commitment of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda and Adif to promote maintenance, renovation and improvement of the railway infrastructure”, they emphasize from Adif.
In addition, the main actions range from the replacement of turnouts (remote-controlled devices that allow track changes) for others with better features to the renovation of general tracks. Sleepers, ballast, rails, track alignment and neutralization will also be renewed, among other actions.
And, while these works are being carried out, Adif continues with the work for the arrival of the AVE to Murcia, which is expected to take place before the end of the year.
