The struggle between the two parts of the government will return to Congress all likely next week. The Ministry of Finance has confirmed its intention to veto the laws that are already registered in the lower house that seek to exempt the payment of the IRPF to people who receive the minimum interprofessional salary (SMI). But add and the PP will lift that veto next week. To do this, they will unite their votes at the Congress table, which has the power to contravene the opposition of the Executive to process a law for budgetary reasons, as is the case.

The Ministry of María Jesús Montero confirmed a month ago that the SMI would tax the income tax for the first time in history, after the government approved the new increase of 50 euros per month (up to 1,184 euros, in 14 payments).
