Being continuously in the public spotlight, supposedly dedicating yourself to improving the existence of your beloved people, I don’t know if it requires talent and honesty, but it does require great acting skills, to sell your character in the great market of politics to try to be credible. The best actors and actresses seem not to be playing. They are seductive and compelling in multiple registers, they win over the public. I think there are two first-class actresses in politics today. One is Isabel Díaz Ayuso. It seems spontaneous, natural, direct, with a fast brain, it transmits with power what it is supposed to think and feel. Abuses a lot, yes, of clichés machacones. It can bore your abuse of the concept of freedom, or your conclusion that leftists have horns and tails, that they are Satan on Earth.
The other is Yolanda Díaz. I believe that the Communist Manifesto represents the Bible for her, that her ancestral desire is to storm the skies. But she keeps the forms, dresses well, is soft, enlightened and negotiating, knows and practices etiquette. In other words, it is highly dangerous. I suspect that it will have a great journey in the movement of public affairs. And it is clear that the voters of these two ladies will not hold their noses, that they believe they deserve their trust, that they venerate them.
But in the field of communication, grumpy actresses abound, emphasizing with voices and lamentable tones the news that suits them. They just need to pout at the misfortune of others. It is not that they feel empowered, but that they aspire to absolute power. They will believe, with good reason, that they have a career ahead of them in the permanent witch hunt. Their outrage and activism can cause embarrassment. I imagine that in other and disgusting times they would also have signed up and would be promoted in the Feminine Section of the Falange. Times have changed, but shit has always taken advantage of them.
