Domestic culture, art and cinema are directly connected with the name of the People’s Artist of the RSFSR Leonid Kuravlev. He is loved and appreciated by both young people and the older generation. This opinion was expressed on Tuesday, February 1, by Russian actor Dmitry Kharatyan.
“The person who, in general, shaped us in many ways, made us who we are. The man is extremely talented, very open, very sincere and very generous with the kindness that he radiated. Here is this “Shukshin energy”, he himself spoke about this more than once, that he is such an open person and, as it were, not even an actor’s character at all, ”Kharatyan said in an interview with the TV channel“Star“.
The actor noted that he remembered Kuravlev as a very modest, reserved, decent and intelligent person. Kharatyan said that he worked with the artist many times, and they often met.
“In general, it is symbolic that he passed away on the birthday of Leonid Iovich Gaidai. On January 30, Leonid Iovich Gaidai was born, and we met at the cemetery almost every year, in the last few years we have not met. And such a kind of connection with Gaidai can be traced throughout life, and even the birthday and the day of death somehow coincided with these two great, outstanding videographers, ”he concluded.
Earlier that day, Kuravlev was buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow, where his wife Nina Vasilievna rests. The farewell ceremony was held at the Central Clinical Hospital behind closed doors, the TV channel reports.360“.

Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustint also expressed deep condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the People’s Artist of the RSFSR, reports NSN.
Leonid Kuravlev died on January 30 at the age of 86. In recent years, he rarely appeared in public and almost did not give interviews. Relatives of the actor reported that after the death of his wife Nina in 2002, he led a reclusive lifestyle.
Shortly before his death, the artist was diagnosed with viral pneumonia. He was in critical condition delivered to the hospital in Kommunarka. According to Izvestia, tests for COVID-19, which he passed on January 6 and 9, showed a negative result. At the same time, Kuravlev’s temperature was elevated, and the saturation was at the level of 89.6%. Later, doctors performed an emergency stomach operation on Kuravlev – a gastrostomy.
On January 26, the actor’s son said that Kuravlev was cured of pneumonia and he was discharged from Kommunarka. He was supposed to undergo further rehabilitation in one of the medical institutions in Moscow.
Soviet and Russian theater and film actor Leonid Kuravlev was born on October 8, 1936 in Moscow. Among the most famous works of the artist are such paintings as “Such a guy lives”, “Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession”, “The meeting place cannot be changed”, “Afonya”, “Seventeen moments of spring” and others.
