On February 22, 2022, a report was made public which said that Activision I wouldn’t throw Call of Duty 2023 due to the sales it had CoD Vanguard. The information came from anonymous sources who gave the data to jason schreier for Bloomberg.
Now until Activision confirmed this information, we could assume that it was a reality, because we are talking about one of the franchises that generates the most money annually in the entire video game industry.
To deny this information, a spokesman for Activision made the following statement: “We have an exciting list of premium and free Call of Duty experiences for this year, next year, and beyond. Reports of anything else are wrong. We look forward to sharing more details when the time is right.”
This would confirm that we do have a Call of Duty for 2023, only that neither the name of the next installment, developer or other more precise details are revealed. It comes down to the fact that something does exist, but they will make it known when the time is right.
We also recommend: Call of Duty has made more money than the MCU and Star Wars
What Call of Duty experiences are confirmed for this year and beyond?
Before jason schreier will release its report about the alleged cancellation of CoD 2023, Activision had already revealed very early on that the next installment in his series was the sequel to Modern Warfare which came out in 2019, plus they were working on a new version of war zone.
Given the Infinity Ward is the main developer of this installment, the most logical thing was to point out that the edition for 2023 was in charge of the team of Treyarchwhose last game was Black Ops Cold War.
It only remains for us to wait and find out what he has planned – in the most concise way possible – Activision from 2023 onwards with the most lucrative series it has among its game offerings.
