This year marks the tenth anniversary of Iberlíquidos, a pioneering company in the marketing of molasses and liquid feed for animal feed in Spain. Since its founding in 2014, Iberlíquidos has established itself as a key reference in agroindustrial sustainability.
The ACOR Cooperative and ED&F Man España decided to combine knowledge and experience to transform agricultural co-products into efficient and ecological solutions. Nearly a hundred people, mostly clients and suppliers of Iberlíquidos, gathered at the Iberlíquidos mixing plant, located at the facilities of the ACOR Cooperative in Olmedo (Valladolid), to celebrate these first 10 years of life.
One of Iberlíquidos’ most notable products is SugarPlus, its main brand of liquid feed designed specifically for ruminants. This product, made from molasses, a co-product of cane and sugar beet processing, is enriched with additional nutrients to improve fiber digestibility and optimize rumen efficiency. SugarPlus not only increases productivity on livestock farms, but It also contributes to sustainability and waste reduction.
Organic fertilizers
In its constant search for sustainability and innovation, Iberlíquidos has decided to diversify its business with the development of a line of organic fertilizers. This initiative takes advantage of the co-products generated during the transformation of molasses and other agricultural wastetransforming them into products suitable for enriching the soil naturally.
Iberlíquidos organic fertilizers are designed to respond to the needs of more environmentally friendly agriculture. These products not only improve soil quality and its ability to retain nutrientsbut also help farmers meet the increasingly demanding sustainability standards in the sector.
This project, still in its early stages, represents Iberlíquidos’ commitment to the circular economy, providing practical solutions that complement its current offer of liquid feed and consolidating its position as a benchmark in agroindustrial innovation.
As part of the celebration of its tenth anniversary, Iberlíquidos organized a special event at its Olmedo plant, where attendees had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the facilities. During the tour, they were shown the process of receiving raw materials, the transformation of molasses into value-added products such as SugarPlus and the sustainable technologies used by the plant to guarantee energy efficiency and waste reduction.
In addition, visitors learned first-hand about the quality control laboratories, where they ensure that products meet the highest standards for animal feed, and the packaging and distribution area, which demonstrates Iberlíquidos’ commitment to efficient logistics and responsible.
The event concluded with a special presentation on the company’s future plans, which include this new line of organic fertilizers, along with new innovative solutions for the agroindustrial market.
