Two alleged accomplices of extradited Petrov were charged in the United States
The United States has charged in absentia allegedly two accomplices of 33-year-old Russian Artur Petrov, who was previously extradited to the United States on charges of violating export restrictions. The prosecutor’s office for the southern district of New York reported this, writes RIA Novosti.
As the department noted, we are talking about Zhanna Soldatenkova and Ruslan Almetov.
They are accused of “conspiring to smuggle military-grade microelectronics from American distributors to a Russian company that supplies products to the Russian military.”
On August 9, Artur Petrov, detained in Cyprus, was extradited to the United States. According to investigators, the Russian participated in the purchase of microelectronics, which was later transferred to a weapons manufacturer for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
