Accidents Turkish media: Finnish citizen died in an accident in Turkey – a car fell into a 25-meter gap at a metro site

According to media reports, the driver of the car was drunk.

Finland the citizen is said to have died in a car accident in Izmir on the west coast of Turkey. Several Turkish media reported on the matter on Sunday.

Among other things, Hürriyet magazine newsthat the car had fallen 25 meters into a pit at a subway site. According to press reports, the car had been driven through obstacles on the construction site.

Rescuers took about two hours to get the two people in the car out of the vehicle. Those in the car were taken to separate hospitals, but one of them died.

The driver of the car is said to have been seriously injured. The media reports that the driver’s blood alcohol level would have been more than 2.3 per mille. In Finland, the limit for drink-driving is exceeded when the blood alcohol content is at least 0.5 per mille.

The deceased Finnish citizen is said to have been a 40-year-old man.

The Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs did not confirm the death of STT on Monday night.
