Motorcyclist died in a traffic accident in Ristijärvi, Kainuu, on Sunday, police say. The accident occurred after 3 p.m. on Highway Five.
The motorcyclist had drifted out of the way to the right and collided with a tree.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
In Viinijärvi In North Karelia, the man is suspected of driving a motorboat under the influence of alcohol on Saturday night at 9 p.m. Police reported the matter on Sunday.
A police patrol that carried out water surveillance stopped the motorboat. The driver blew 2.45 per mille into the breathalyzer. The matter is being investigated as a drunken traffic offense, a vehicle offense and a water traffic offense.
