Heavy the vehicle caught fire on Pirkkala in Pirkanmaa on Monday evening. The Rescue Department received information about the fire at 18.21.
The vehicle was in flames at 6.30 pm and the second lane on Pyhäjärventie was closed in the direction of Jyväskylä due to extinguishing and clearing work. The whole road was momentarily closed to traffic at about half past seven in the evening. Traffic may be queued during lane closure.
The accident happened in Pirkkala, one kilometer from the Ania coastal road in the direction of Jyväskylä. The rescue services’ units are on site and fire-fighting operations are underway.
