The Department of Community Police in the Community Security Sector organized a lecture on “Cyberbullying and Peaceful Coexistence” on the popular market stage of the Emirates Heritage Club, stressing its interest in educating the community about forms of cyberbullying and avoiding its practice, and learning about the concept of peaceful coexistence among members of society and its role in achieving peace and happiness for all.
The lecture was delivered by religious preacher Amal Abdul-Jalil Ibrahim from Abu Dhabi Police, explaining the causes and behavioral phenomena of cyber-bullying, methods of treatment and prevention of this social scourge, and the efforts made by the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police and the competent authorities in the country to combat these practices.
The lecture touched on the best ways to avoid electronic exposure by using the Internet and mobile phones with caution, not publishing personal details, thinking carefully before posting private photos and videos on the Internet, protecting passwords and not giving them to anyone, and not passing bad emails.
The Child Traffic Patrol participated in the event, and a number of children were briefed on their efforts and objectives in using appropriate educational means to consolidate traffic culture and instill traffic awareness in them and inform them of the tasks the traffic police perform in maintaining traffic safety and educating them traffic.
