His Excellency Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, stressed that the national drug control system enhances prevention and aftercare efforts, praising the joint cooperation at the state level in taking important measures to combat and prevent drugs.
In a speech on the occasion of the International Day to Combat Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, which falls on June 26 under the slogan (Drugs is a Painful End), he explained that these measures consisted in participating in the committees for control, prevention and treatment emanating from the State Anti-Narcotics Council, and achieving targeted results. Through the national strategy for control, and the national guide for drug prevention, which enhances the efforts of government and private agencies to implement international standards and measures for drug prevention.
He pointed out the Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to achieve further developments by adopting the best means and methods in combating drugs and limiting the spread of this scourge, pointing out that the anti-drug elements of the Abu Dhabi Police are playing their leading role around the clock in protecting society from its clutches, and confronting it efficiently and proficiently and in various modern ways and means. And they succeeded in striking the plots of drug dealers who do not hesitate to use all criminal methods in order to leak their poison and target young people.
His Excellency praised the cooperation with strategic partners at the state level, and all the mighty and sincere efforts made by our men in the control agencies at the state level, and all partners, and the sincere national efforts that work with us to combat the danger of drug spread.
He pointed out that Abu Dhabi Police continues its efforts continuously, through its security strategy, to establish security and stability by keeping pace with modern developments and using the best technologies, which contributed to addressing this scourge using advanced methods, thwarting promotional processes and controlling promoters.
