Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi) concluded Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2021 Its activities recently, which were held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, at the waterfront of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, and over a period of four days. In its third edition, the exhibition acquired the satisfaction of the public remarkably, as 98% of them expressed their satisfaction with their experience in visiting the event and their desire to visit the exhibition again in the next edition, and 98% of the visitors indicated their satisfaction and their feeling of safety as a result of the precautionary and preventive measures applied in this year’s edition of exhibition. The exhibition, organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), succeeded in attracting 353 exhibitors and brands from 28 countries, with a growth rate of 24% compared to the previous edition, in a step that enhances the exhibition’s position, as the first event of its kind in the boat and fishing equipment industries sector. In addition to the various marine and recreational sports that are held in the country during the recovery phase from the exceptional circumstances the world is going through.
Saeed Al Mansouri, CEO of Capital Events, a subsidiary and owned by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), said: “We are pleased with the large turnout witnessed by the exhibition’s activities over its four days, which confirms the great confidence placed by our partners in the public and private sectors and our ability to succeed and direct the events. In a manner that befits the reputation of the UAE and Abu Dhabi locally and internationally.” Al Mansouri added: “This year, the exhibition succeeded in providing an ideal platform for exhibitors to highlight their products, business and services, and to provide opportunities to conclude partnerships and specialized deals in the boat industry and the marine sector in general.” The current edition of the exhibition was characterized by wide global and regional participation, as it witnessed a growth in the number of companies and brands by 24%. National companies also recorded an important leap in their participation this year, as they acquired a 43% share of the total exhibitors.
The total area of the indoor, outdoor and marine display areas for the current session of the exhibition increased to 42,000 square meters, with a growth rate of 5%, while the number of yachts and boats participating on the sea canal increased by 8% compared to the previous session. This year’s edition also witnessed a 25% increase in new product launches and innovations in the region and the world. Among the most prominent participants in this year’s session was the French company Sea Bubbles for the first time, where it showcased miniature models of its amazing products, as well as the Polish company GlassDip, which highlighted its latest products in the field of entertainment and underwater scanning technologies.
The leading American company, Invincible Boats, also participated in the field of sports fishing boats. This year’s show was marked by the return of some of the most important exhibitors who launched new products, including the launch of the Mercury 600 (12-cylinder) engine from Dalma Marine, the Mercury Racing AMS 300R engine from Extreme Marine, and the Volvo Penta and MTU solutions from the Group Al Masaood. This year’s edition witnessed the return of the flying yacht The Foiler with an elegant updated design, and Alcos Marine participated in the world’s largest floating house to highlight the latest luxury innovations in this field.
