It is expected that the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi will implement, during the current year, the procedures of regulating the circulation of single-use plastics, and encouraging the use of multi-use materials, in a move to reduce the entry of these materials into the environment, in addition to changing the society’s behavior towards more sustainable practices.
The authority explained that since the launch of the Abu Dhabi policy for single-use plastics in Abu Dhabi in 2020, it is preparing the infrastructure for its implementation by working on the required legislation.
