The “Dr. Firas Center” team won the Brotherhood Football Championship, which was organized by the Emirati-Palestinian Friendship Club, after defeating the Falcons team 4-0 in the final match, which took place between them at the “SK Stadium” in Abu Dhabi, the host of the tournament, while the Falcons team won On the second place, Issam Alaa, player of the center team, d. Firas won the Best Player Cup, while Concorde goalkeeper Bilal Al-Hanafi won the Best Goalkeeper Cup.
The final match was attended by Abdullah Saleh, the supervisor of our former national team, and Dr. Sarhan Al-Muaini, vice president of the club, members of the club’s board of directors and sponsors of the tournament.
The tournament was attended by 16 teams, and was held in a one-day system, where the participating teams were divided into 4 groups, from which the Emirates National Schools team, Al Mihal, Spark Company, Dr. Center qualified for the quarter-finals. Firas, Isnad, Falcons, Concord Company, Al-Nashami, while the teams of Concord Company qualified for the semi-finals, Dr. Center. Firas, Falcons, Emirates National Schools, and Dr. Center teams qualified. Firas and Falcons for the final in a wonderful atmosphere attended by a large audience.
For his part, Al Muaini thanked the sponsors of the tournament and all the participants in it, including stars, players, administrators and fans, and saluted in them the high spirit of brotherhood, and revealed that the club plans to organize this tournament periodically, in addition to organizing several sports tournaments in various fields of interest to the Emirati community.
He added that the Friendship Club seeks to diversify its activities between cultural, social and sports in line with the general policy of the UAE, which believes that the openness of societies to each other would deepen the bonds of friendship and rapprochement, and devote positive mutual images between them, in a way that supports an atmosphere of peace, understanding and stability.
Ammar Al-Kurdi, chairman of the club’s board of directors, praised the positive atmosphere and sportsmanship that prevailed in the tournament, stressing that the event achieved its goal through the fraternal gathering, which crossed the barrier of competitions. A diverse community, given that the tournament is the first activity of the club at all levels.
