The activities of the first day of the inaugural session of the Arabic Language Summit held at Expo 2020, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, affiliated with the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, and “Majarra”, the leading company in providing Arabic content on the Internet, with the aim of joint cooperation in several fields. Majalat, to enhance the presence of the Arabic language in general and on the Internet in particular. The agreement was signed by Dr. Ali bin Tamim, President of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, and Abdul Salam Haikal, Chairman of Majara Board of Directors.
The agreement marks the beginning of cooperation between the two institutions in many fields, to consolidate the position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as a leading global destination for teaching and learning the Arabic language. In view of the keenness of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center to enhance the Arabic digital content, and to keep the Arabic language alive in the digital space, thus contributing to the consolidation of the pillars of a successful and sustainable language industry.

Ali bin Tamim, President of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, expressed his appreciation for the role played by “Majarra” in creating and disseminating useful Arabic content on the Internet. and an academy concerned with the Arabic language around the world, with the aim of developing the Arabic language, and I believe that this partnership opens new horizons for both sides regarding enhancing Abu Dhabi’s role as a hub for the knowledge economy, the creative economy and human development. For his part, Abdul Salam Haykal, Chairman of Majara, said: “The partnership with the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language is a strong addition to our plans this year, as the center has succeeded in achieving an influential presence and high dynamism through advanced programs in vision and implementation, which helps institutions and individuals working in the creative fields related to the Arabic language. The agreement also allows us to provide our expertise to Arab users of different interests.
