The ABC editor, Isabel Miranda, was awarded this Tuesday with the V Environmental Journalism Award of the Association of Mineral Waters of Spain (Aneabe) for his report ‘Miguel Ángel Simón, the architect of the lynx miracle’, in which he recounts the amazing recovery of the feline over more than 20 years thanks to the scientific work and the tenacity of the human team behind it.
Through this recognition, Aneabe rewards the social awareness work carried out by communication professionals and shows the environmental commitment of the association. This year, Aneabe chose the importance of biodiversity and protection of native flora and fauna.
The jury, made up of representatives of the association and the magazine Ethicspraised the quality, documentation and attractiveness of the winning work, chosen from among 50 applications.
Miranda received the award, with a prize of one thousand euros, throughout the ‘Springs of Life’ sustainability day, which had the participation of the general director of Food of the Ministry of Agriculture, José Miguel Herrero; the president of Aneabe, José Manuel García; the general director of Ethic magazine, Pablo Blázquez; as well as other members of the mineral waters and food sector.
Isabel Miranda Pinillos (Madrid, 1989) has a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master’s degree in ABC-UCM 2012/2013. Since 2011 he has gone through the local, Spain and digital table sections. He is currently responsible for the Environment in the Society section.
