The photograph of the buffet operating in the lobby of the Arbatskaya station of the Moscow metro attracted the interest of the Russians. A snapshot of the institution was posted in Facebook-the group “MOSCOW MOYA”.
“This is the first time I see a cafe in the subway. It turns out that it is not the only one – there are two more stations! ” – shared the author of the topic.
Many noted that they knew about this institution before and even visited it. “This cafe is as old as the station. Only before there was no big sign, ”they said in the comments. Users said that in Soviet times, delicious sandwiches, pastries and coffee were sold in the metro buffet. One woman reported that it was possible to enter the establishment without paying entrance fees in the station lobby, informing the staff that you were going to a cafe.
Users remembered that the buffets used to work at the radial “Kievskaya” and “Library named after Lenin”, but then they were closed. “And in Istanbul, there are coffee shops and toilets at almost every station. It is very convenient, ”one of the commentators told about his foreign experience.
Earlier, Russians were puzzled by a photo of a banquet at a Moscow metro station. Netizens have put forward different versions of why the people in the picture had a feast on the escalator.
