It will be two weeks since that historical moment in which Cruz Azul was crowned champion after 23 years without achieving it. Few believed in the quality of the players and of the coach Juan Reynoso, since the first two games were lost, a situation that put the continuity of the coach between the ropes. However, after that victory against Pachuca on matchday 3 Cruz Azul began its great tournament that closed so perfectly with the obtaining of the ninth star.
The directive declared days ago that as soon as the situation in the capital allows it, they will take a tour of the championship, but that has not prevented fans in different parts of the country from paying great tributes to these players who have gone down in history. One of the best tributes that has been made so far is a large mural in the city of Saltillo, where Santos Laguna is originally from, a club that won the final, and whose authors of this work of art were the members of the so-called “Blue blood”.
The fans hope that the players at some point will visit this mural and achieve their signature, as has already been done by Misael Domínguez, who is originally from Saltillo and who took advantage of his vacation to thank this enormous gesture.
Cruz Azul are on vacation and the players will have to report to training on June 24, where it is expected that by that date the full picture will already be available along with possible reinforcements, because despite the fact that the next tournament starts until July 23th, Cruz Azul will face its first final on July 18 when it faces León in the Campeón de Campeones.
The demands in the club do not end, and now the objectives are to get the title of Champion of Champions, the Concachampions and the Liga MX Bicampeonato.
