A total of 70 agents will reinforce the ordinary Local Police service this Friday, New Year’s Eve, so there will be a total of 300 agents who will work for this day to develop normally. They will be joined by drones to control that there are no crowds. The agents will monitor the busiest areas in order that the security measures for Covid-19 are complied with and incidents do not develop, while they will patrol in parks, gardens and other spaces to avoid the celebration of bottles.
Likewise, the Citizen Service Offices will be installed in those areas with the greatest influx, such as Calle Santa Catalina and Alfonso X el Sabio. Passive security measures will also be established in different places, locating police vehicles and others of large tonnage.
Another of the actions is the prohibition of circulation to vehicles of more than 3,500 kilograms in various streets of the urban area, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., in the inner perimeter resulting from the delimitation formed by a series of streets of the urban area of Murcia and the exits of the A-30.
Specifically, it will be the perimeter formed by Avenida Ciclista Mariano Rojas, Avenida Ciclista Mariano Rojas, Avenida Miguel de Cervantes, Avenida de los Pinos, ALmirante Loaysa, Reino de Valencia, Reino de Murcia, Miguel Indurain, Avenida de los Dolores, Ronda South, Exit 140 A, Exit 140 B, Exit 141, Exit 142, Exit 143, Exit 144 A and Exit 144 B. This special operation will begin the morning of December 31 and will run until the morning of January 1.
The Councilor for Economic Management and Citizen Security, Enrique Lorca, asked Murcians “the greatest prudence and responsibility these days”, while thanking the Local Police agents “for their work and predisposition to make Murcia a safe municipality” .
