Members of the Civil Guard and the Local Police carried out thirteen searches in an operation that began at dawn
Fifty Civil Guard agents, with the support of the Local Police, seized a thousand marijuana plants this Tuesday in an operation carried out in the Mula River region. Several units of the Benemérita began the operation in the early hours of the morning in a coordinated action in which at least thirteen searches were carried out in homes and several arrests.
In the operation, the agents had the support of a Civil Guard helicopter and drones from the Benemérita and the Mula Local Police. The operation is still open, so more arrests are not ruled out in the coming hours.
Specifically, the raid was carried out in the neighborhoods of Carmen, Pontarron and Los Molinos, inspecting houses, some of them uninhabited, located on the streets of Campillas, Mozas, Salitre, Monjas, Fuensoriana, Altos de las Mizas, Altos de Santo Domingo and Altos Fuensanta. In addition to the marijuana plantations, the troops seized all kinds of means for its cultivation, such as air conditioners, light bulbs, fertilizers and various materials.
Iberdrola workers also participated in the intervention, intervening in those homes that obtained electricity illegally. The performance continued during the afternoon with the removal of the plants from the houses. The streets that communicate with the neighborhoods where the intervention was carried out remained closed for much of the day. The wide deployed device provoked the astonishment of the neighbors.
