The police investigate the motives for the crime committed in North Carolina after arresting another student as the main suspect
A student died this Wednesday in a shooting at a high school in the town of Winston-Salem, in North Carolina, in the United States, local authorities have informed at a press conference.
The main suspect, believed to be a student from the same center, has been apprehended by the local police “without incident” around 6:00 p.m. (local time), as announced by the local Police Department on the web social Twitter. So far no details have emerged about the motive for the crime or how the incident occurred.
The authorities went to the institute shortly after 12:00 hours (local time), where they found a student with a gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to a hospital in the area, where he died shortly thereafter.
Although the Winston-Salem Police ordered the closure of numerous schools in the area in the wake of the incident, there have been no further incidents. “Schools were ordered to be blocked to be extremely cautious,” the Police Department clarified.
