Sexologist Jess O’Reilly said that in recent years, a trend has begun to gain popularity when a woman, with the approval of her regular partner, enters into sexual contact with other men. In conversation with Men’s Health specialist warned about the dangers of this sexual practice.
O’Reilly clarified that having multiple sexual partners for a woman is called a “hotwife.” In such relationships, she explained, the regular partner can observe the sexual act from the side, participate in it, or only listen to the story of intimacy. The sexologist pointed out that this is attractive for many reasons: ignoring social norms, exploring one’s emotions in an unusual situation, and a feeling of power over a partner.
O’Reilly emphasized that the practice is acceptable if both are happy with what is happening. However, she warned that there was a high risk of exploitation by one of the parties. For example, says a sexologist, a man who persuades his partner to have sex with other people may care more about his own satisfaction than about her pleasure. In this case, the woman becomes a resource: she is given to others to use, thus demonstrating her attractiveness and value, and then returned to herself.
O’Reilly recommended that couples who practice hotwifery or want to try it should discuss their emotions. She emphasized that the most important thing is that what happens in the bedroom is safe for both partners.
