The full statement from the Creative Director of Alien: Isolation
The Creative Director of Alien: Isolation wrote: “It’s hard to believe that 10 years have passed since we embarked on our journey with the release of Alien: Isolation. When we began developing Alien: Isolation, we had one guiding principle: create a truly authentic experience that returned to the roots of the Alien franchise – a new story that captured the atmosphere and terror of the original 1979 cinematic masterpiece.”
“It was nothing short of incredible witness your passion for the game over the years and see it reach so many players around the world. The enthusiasm, the excitement, the screaming (!) and the courage in the face of cinema’s greatest killer was deeply rewarding. Whether you’re a Nightmare Mode veteran or just stepping into Amanda Ripley’s shoes for your first thrilling try (good luck!), we wanted to express our deep gratitude to you. It has been a dream project delivered by a brilliant team and the welcome you have given it over the years is extraordinary.”
“On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, it seems right to let you know that we have heard your calls for help loud and clear. Today I am pleased to confirm, on behalf of the team, that the sequel to Alien: Isolation is in development. We look forward to sharing additional details with you when we are ready. Once again, thank you. Until next time, Al Hope, Creative Director of Alien: Isolation.”
Recall that the most recent film in the series is Alien: Romulus which is connected to The Last of Us Part 2 in a very curious way.
