In St. Petersburg, a local resident was suspected of stealing over 1.5 million rubles from a relative who survived the siege. Lenta.ru was informed about this by the city department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the department, a 37-year-old security company employee took 70 thousand rubles from his wife’s 84-year-old grandmother. A criminal case was opened against him under Article 161 (“Robbery”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
During the investigation, it turned out that the man had previously stolen another 1.5 million rubles from an elderly woman, promising to provide her with proper care and a standard of living. A case of fraud was opened against him.
Earlier, scammers from the “Your Future” school of spiritual development stole 55 million rubles from a Russian in a year, calling him “the chosen one.”
