The partial mobilization decreed by Vladimir Putin to send reinforcements to Ukraine is leaving a trail of images that show the desperation of Russian citizens to avoid going to the front. The last scene was that of a man who set himself on fire shouting “I don’t want to go to war!” at a station in Ryazan, about 185 kilometers southeast of Moscow, according to Reuters, citing several local media.
In the images, below these lines, you can see how the man sprinkles the liquid he carries in a bottle and then sets himself on fire due to the immobility of those around him.
However, according to Reuters, those present finally managed to put out the flames that engulfed his body. He was transferred by ambulance with serious burns, without his health status being known at the moment.

This is the latest episode showing the desperation of the Russians to avoid going to war at a time when Ukraine is recovering territory in the east of the country at great speed, thanks in large part to the arms support and military intelligence offered by West.
Since Putin’s announcement on September 21, hundreds of thousands of Russian citizens have left the country and almost twenty recruitment centers have been attacked with Molotov cocktails. This same week, a young man opened fire on the person in charge of one of these offices. More than 2,000 people have been arrested for demonstrating against the partial mobilization.
