DPR resident Makarova: AFU soldier killed pensioners in Dzerzhinsk
A serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) killed two pensioners in Dzerzhinsk, Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The daughter of the victims, Oksana Makarova, spoke about this, reports RIA Novosti.
The pensioners lived in the suburbs of Dzerzhinsk all their lives; Oksana moved to Donetsk back in the 2000s, and after the start of a special military operation, she communicated with her mother and father only by phone.
“We lost contact with them at the end of July. And on August 4, my neighbor Sergei wrote to me and said that some security officer came into the yard and, right next to the gate, cold-bloodedly shot first his 84-year-old father, and then his 75-year-old mother,” said Oksana.
According to her, the parents’ bodies were left lying in the yard, and everything in the house was ransacked, probably in search of money. They could not bury the dead immediately due to constant shelling, so they had to cover the bodies with a tarpaulin and cover them with earth from the front garden. Makarova wrote a statement to the Investigative Committee and is waiting for the city to come under Russian control. Only after this will the relevant departments be able to carry out full investigative actions and initiate a criminal case into a double murder.
Earlier, the DPR prosecutor’s office sent a criminal case to the DPR Supreme Court against the commander of the airborne assault company of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Marine Corps, Viktor Pyatka, who ordered the murder of a civilian. Through radio communication, Pyatka gave the order to kill a civilian who was walking along the street far from the combat position.
