FC Tanganyika’s passage to the semi-final of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Cup was marred by a serious incident of violence. Fans of the rival team, OC Renaissance, brutally attacked the judge at the end of the game. The referee is in critical condition.

The press conference after the game, which was played this Friday, was suspended and a video circulated on social networks showing how The judge was receiving attention in one of the corridors of the Tata Raphaël stadium in Kinshasa, while the Tanganyika players celebrated their passage to the semifinals, without caring about what happened.
Videos were also revealed showing how the referee was attacked: a fan entered and threw a flying kick at him. The judge ran to the side of the field, dodging blows, and, finally, it was shown how, being close to one of the substitute benches, he received a strong punch to the head.
The RNTC channel’s version indicated this Saturday that the referee, whose name was not revealed, was “between life and death.” At the time of the attack he lost consciousness and, until now, has not woken up.
