A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead appears as a very interesting title among the upcoming releases for a series of reasons: it is the first videogame transposition of the successful horror film franchise and, moreover, it was developed by a local team, namely Stormind Games.
The title, presented a few weeks ago with a gameplay trailer, is therefore one of the “underdog” releases to keep an eye on in this month of October crowded with large-scale launches, such as those of Metaphor: ReFantazio and Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero.
With the new trailer of the game, published in these minutes, we become aware of a truly interesting mechanic that could greatly benefit the popularity of the project: in fact, we present to you the mode “Microphone Noise Detection”.
As we are also shown in the live-action video, the feature will allow players to immerse yourself like never before in the gaming atmosphere: how? Simply by activating the microphone.
The aliens, the main enemies of the title, are blind, but have incredibly powerful hearing and, for this reason, making noise doesn’t seem to be the best case scenario if we are trying to hide.
Through this mode, the microphone will perceive the sounds inside our room and, if we speak or make any noise, the aliens will notice us. This is certainly an interesting mechanic, as it allows the player great involvement during the game.
We remind you that A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is coming to PlayStation5, PC and Xbox Series October 17.
