The German Police has dismantled a criminal organization who operated in a pizzeria in the old town of Düsseldorf, in western Germany, after learning the secret ingredient of his 40th order: cocaine as an accompaniment.
The person in charge of the investigation, Michael Graf von Moltke, has indicated to local media that this “was one of the best selling pizzas», since many customers were aware of the secret ingredient that accompanied this meal.
The authorities were alerted a few months ago that something suspicious was happening at the establishment. So they soon realized the popularity of the pizza number 40 and the reason behind it.
When the agents entered the home of the store manager – 36 years old – to arrest him, he threw a bag of drugs out the window. However, “he fell directly into the arms of the police,” as reported by the same local authorities. In this operation, the Police confiscated 1.6 kilograms of cocaine, 400 grams of cannabis and 268,000 euros in cash, according to local media.
The pizzeria manager was released shortly after being arrested and carried out the same ‘modus operandi’ again. This allowed the researchers dismantle the entire organization behind and three people were accused of supplying the drugs to the establishment and, consequently, arrested. Among them was the leader of the network. In addition, 12 other people are considered suspects.
