A patient with an ax attacked two ambulance paramedics in Minsk when they responded to a call. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus on Saturday, February 10.
“A team of ambulance specialists arrived to a call to a patient in Minsk, and the patient attacked them with an ax. Now both paramedics have been taken to the capital’s hospital,” the statement said.
According to the department, the condition of the injured doctors is now assessed as moderate. They are given the necessary help.
Izvestia’s source said that the attack took place in a private house, where doctors went. According to his information, the patient was supposed to be taken to a psychiatric hospital, but he attacked the employees who came after him with an ax and inflicted injuries on their heads and limbs.
“When the ambulance driver saw what was happening, he was able to get the paramedics out of the house, put them in the car and drove them to the hospital. They are now in intensive care,” the source said.
Earlier, on November 9, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened regarding an attack by a patient with a firearm on an ambulance paramedic in Kaluga. The paramedic managed to neutralize the aggressive Kaluga resident.
