Nutritionist Ginzburg advised replacing sweets with berries or dried fruits
Director of the Samara Research Institute of Dietology and Diet Therapy, nutritionist, Doctor of Medical Sciences Mikhail Ginzburg in an interview with Ura.ru named a way to help a person overcome sugar cravings. According to him, for this it is worth replacing it with a more healthy snack, for example, berries or dried fruits.
“The easiest trick is to eat sweets after meals, not instead of meals. Sweet as a reward. The second method is also very simple and clear. From sweet foods, choose less harmful or more healthy. For example, berries, dried fruits. This does not mean that only they should be eaten, but part of the sweet can be replaced with this, ”the specialist said.
The nutritionist also urged not to forget about the psychological factor in this matter. He noted that a person can cope with a sweet tooth without completely giving it up. Ginsburg advised those who want to eat less sweets to constantly try to consume less of it than the previous day. He also recommends eating nuts instead of sweets, or foods with sweeteners.
