It was also presented during the Nintendo Direct Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game through a new trailer which confirmed the game’s arrival on Nintendo Switch with a trailer and a exit period still to be defined more precisely.
The game by the Wētā Workshop team, published by Private Division, represents a particular digression into the world of Lord of the Ringsallowing us to put ourselves in the shoes of a hobbit from Middle Earth, in their Shire, to let us live an experience from the perspective of these characters.
The developers’ idea is to present a relaxing simulation in which you can create your own Hobbit and enjoy their idyllic life that Tolkien described in his books.
A Hobbit life experience
It’s a sort of sandbox simulation all themed The Lord of the Rings, and specifically dedicated to the Shire and its inhabitants, namely the peaceful hobbits.
In this, we can carry out activities typical of this breed, including agriculture and other occupations within the area in question.
We can therefore cultivate our garden, go fishing and obtain the ingredients necessary to cook sumptuous meals for the residents of Lungacque, or get to know the neighbors and help them solve their problems.
There is no predefined path: it’s a matter of creating our character and dedicating ourselves to various activities with it in a sort of Animal Crossing in the hobbit version, with the possibility of modifying external and internal scenarios, choosing various looks to meticulously furnish the house with furniture, decorations and more.
In addition to the hobbits of Waterside, Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game seems to also include some presences well known by Tolkien fans as special guests, all arriving on Nintendo Switch next winter.
