Horror video games never go out of style, but lately they are on everyone’s lips, whether for new installments, remakes or remasters, as is the case at hand. If all goes according to plan, this year Project Zero: Maiden of the Black Water arrives at PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. It will be an improved version of the game published in 2015 for Wii U and, for now, the latest installment in one of the most overwhelming survival horror sagas.
The game will improve the graphics of the Wii U version and will arrive in OctoberThis remastering comes to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the series, and to bring the saga closer both to those who did not play it in their day, as to attract new fans. And, its creators, have had no problem stating that they would love for this to be “the starting point for making new deliveries”, in statements to Game Informer.
That affirms Keisuke Kimuchi, producer of the Fatal Frame saga (as Project Zero is known in Japan), implying that the possibility of a sequel or a new installment will depend on the reception or positive reception of the relaunch of Maiden of the Black Water. The creative states that “he would love” to make more games if that is what the players want.
For now, it’s time to wait. Project Zero: Maiden of the Black Water will arrive on the indicated platforms on October 28. For now, if you want to liven up the wait, you can get an idea of what you are going to find with our analysis of the Wii U version.
