The UAE announced the sending of a new shipment of aid to the Gaza Strip, in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), carrying approximately 1,166 tons of urgent and necessary food supplies.
The new aid trip, which comes about two weeks after sending another ship, was organized in cooperation with the agency through joint efforts with the United States, the Republic of Cyprus, the United Nations, and a number of international donors, including the European Union, from the Cypriot port of Larnaca to the port of Ashdod. Then into the Gaza Strip via the Erez land crossing, in cooperation with the US Agency for Refugee Assistance in the Near East (ANERA).
The UAE continues to work with international partners to intensify efforts to ensure the flow and arrival of aid and its distribution through all available means and methods, to contribute to alleviating the burden of the critical humanitarian conditions faced by the residents of the Gaza Strip.
Sending relief aid by sea, land and air embodies the UAE’s historic and firm commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, as it has not hesitated to provide all forms of humanitarian support to our Palestinian brothers.
