An archival photo of a Muscovite taken in the second half of the 1950s delighted netizens. The picture was published in Facebook-community “Moscow – that!”
The author of the topic signed that the photo shows her grandfather, a native Muscovite. The shot was taken on Sofiyskaya Embankment in the first years after his return from service in Germany. The photo shows a slim man wearing a long black coat and a black hat. In the background is the Kremlin.
“A solid man!”, “Wonderful photo! These coats were worn by stylish men at the time, always with a hat. My dad had the same”, “Foreign such, but in those days Riga was abroad,” said the users.
