The Dubai Criminal Court has sentenced an Asian manager to ten years in prison who was convicted of raping his maid while she was asleep.
The victim said in the Public Prosecution investigations that she was working for the accused, and she went as usual to sleep in her room, not tightly closed, and at about nine in the morning she felt something strange, so she woke up immediately, to find the accused assaulting her, so she denounced and blamed him, but he thought she was satisfied, so he smiled, But she pushed him and asked him to leave, then she left the house crying and informed the police, indicating that her sleep was heavy and she did not feel that he was entering the room.
For his part, a Dubai police witness said that a report was received about the crime of rape in a villa in the Al Qudra area, so he moved to the place and saw the victim crying outside the house, and told him that her accused sponsor raped her while she was sleeping, in her room not tightly closed due to the broken room lock.
He added that the accused confessed to him that he entered the room to change the door lock, so he saw her asleep and assaulted her.
