The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services revealed the launch of a “mobile workshop” to serve the ambulance crews dedicated to the “Expo 2020” service, to deal with light technical faults that may be exposed to the various ambulances distributed in the various emergency points designated to serve this global event.
The mobile workshop is a new innovation added to the organization’s innovations aimed at shortening time and providing better services in various circumstances and places.
Khalifa Al-Dari, Executive Director of the Corporation, said: “We invest in the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services in innovation, and we are looking for ways and means that enable us to provide faster services with high quality, so we directed the development of a mobile workshop, which can deal with light malfunctions that ambulance vehicles are exposed to in various emergency points. Or on the go, and it has already been fully developed and equipped in the vehicle management and maintenance division of the institution, by recycling one of our vehicles at a cost of only 60,000 dirhams.
Regarding the specifications of the mobile workshop, Al-Dray explained: “The workshop was equipped to deal with mechanical and electrical failures, general maintenance and maintenance of tires and air conditioning systems, in addition to maintaining medical equipment, and the ability to replace consumable parts. It also contains a generator, an air compressor, and devices for washing and sterilizing vehicles to ensure health and safety.”
