The army wrote on its Twitter page: “Kharkiv. March 1, 2022, 8:00 am. Launching rockets from Russian localities against civilians.”
In the video, which was said to have been taken in the Sumska district of Kharkiv, a missile directly hits moving cars.
Oleg Senegubov, head of the Kharkiv region, said that Russian missile attacks hit the center of Ukraine’s second largest city, including residential areas and the administration building, as the Russian invasion entered its sixth day.
Sengupov stated that Russia had fired “Grad” and “Cruise” missiles at Kharkiv, and that it was “convicted of war crimes”, but added that the city’s defenses were resilient.
Many commented on the video, saying that Russia uses Grad missiles to bomb civilian areas inside Ukraine.
In the same context, more than 70 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in Russian artillery shelling of a military base in the city of Okhtyrka, located between Kharkiv and Kiev, according to what was reported by the region’s governor on the “Telegram” application.
Dmytro Zivitsky said in a Facebook post that several Russian soldiers and some local residents were killed during the clashes that took place on Sunday, according to the Associated Press.
