In Irkutsk, a man was injured as a result of a fire in a private bathhouse. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the region.
The fire occurred on March 23 at one of the sites on Shapovalova Street. By the time the rescuers arrived, the bathhouse was completely engulfed in fire. At the site, firefighters found a 42-year-old man who received burns. He was handed over to the paramedics.
The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes. As a result of the fire, the bathhouse was damaged on an area of 24 square meters. m, clarifies IA IrkutskMedia.
According to the victim, he decided to look into the bathhouse and check the operation of the heater. Opening the door, the man noticed clouds of smoke and tried to put out the fire on his own, but was burned.
The cause of the fire is being established by investigators of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Since the beginning of the year, 1,206 fires have occurred in the Irkutsk region, of which 15 have occurred in the last 24 hours. As a result, 56 people died and 53 were injured. Another 264 people were rescued.
