Here’s what the little boy wrote
A child with a rare disease he decided to write to the mayor of Taranto, to ask him to find a solution for together close the Ilva. And to prevent other children like him from getting sick at such an early age. He is only 8 years old, but he already has to deal with a pathology that makes his life very different from that of his peers.
Andrea is an 8 year old boy, the youngest activist of the association “Parents from Taranto“, Which has been manifesting for some time in the Apulian city to ensure the health of all and the protection of the environment. In a post published on Facebook by the association you can read his letter to the mayor of Taranto.
The association points out that Andrea write with “the simple and pure words of children“.
Andrea is one of eight children in the world (the only case in Italy) suffering from a very rare mutation of the sox4 gene. All these children live in places that are highly polluted by factories. His mother, Simona, gave us this letter asking us to send it to the mayor of Taranto.
Andrea has the ideas clear and asks the mayor for an answer to be able to save many children like him.
In the afternoon I go to the square with the scooter. If you come, we can talk about how to close Ilva.
The child with the rare disease symbolizes the protest of the Taranto parents
Like Andrea, there are many other small children who they struggle together with their families. The group was born precisely to defend the inhabitants of the city, but even on Facebook the problems are not few, since they risk having to close the page of the association for reports of copyright infringement.
We suspect who the authors of these reports were. To these individuals we want to remind, by borrowing a phrase from a famous film, that “when the going gets tough, the tough get to play”. We will do it immediately.
The group then adds:
We also point out how the page of a non-profit association that fights for the well-being of the little Taranto people and the environment is targeted and how the freedom of information and criticism are so easily frustrated by whims of the lowest category of unworthy people. .
