‘Rholo’, a dog of the ‘Alaskan Malamute’ breed, was lost to its owners when they were walking through Sierra Espuña. They were looking for him for several days and did not find him, so they decided to publish his disappearance through social networks. This is how several members of the Mula Mountaineering Club (Francisco José Hermosilla Del Toro, Manuel López Sánchez, Alejandro Rivas, Miguel Ángel Orcajada and Antonio Rojo) found out, who, accompanied by their dog ‘Duna’, decided to go in search of this Sunday.
After more than two hours of searching, in a place in the northern area of Sierra Espuña, in the municipality of Mula, they heard the howl of a dog. The sound seemed to come from a nearby mound, so they went to the place and found ‘Rholo’ malnourished and dehydrated, so the Muleño mountaineers provided heat and food, while communicating with the owners, who quickly approached the place to pick up the dog.
The good deed of the Muleño mountaineers brought joy to the owners of the pet, the Romero family, who verified the malnutrition of the dog and a wound on one of its legs.
The news had repercussions in the national media, appearing in the Tele 5 news program this Tuesday at three in the afternoon.
