Jimbee Cartagena played last night at the Palau Blaugrana on the edge of the precipice, without a net and totally exposed to an exchange of blows from which they came out badly. The Meloneros team was really fragile, they lost defensive concentration to the monumental anger of Duda and left empty-handed despite scoring six goals against Barcelona (8-6). The Meloneros still haven't come out of a loop of bad results for two months and their presence in the 'playoff' is still far from mathematical.
Fourteen goals, more than twenty shots on goal, two penalties and a historic anger by Duda towards his boys will forever remain in the memory of an absolutely crazy match that left ten goals in the twenty minutes of the first half. The defenses disappeared and each goal, almost always a strategy, was more bloody: neither concentration nor intensity in one area or another, for the enjoyment of the spectator.

Barcelona always struck first through Puigvert, Ferrao, Lozano, Antonio Pérez and Pito. The unattended shots at the far post, the moved barriers and a target conceded by a long serve from Dídac, in two touches, made Duda explode. «Four shitty goals, so much talking in the locker room. “You have to wake up,” the melon coach came to say, in summary words. It is no wonder, because until not long ago his pupils were the most reliable defensively and in one month the eight goals for Movistar Inter have come in the historic defeat at home (1-8), the five for Peñíscola (5-5) and last night another eight from Barça (8-6). Chemi has conceded two or more goals from the beginning of March onwards.
At least, the people of Cartagena reacted to each blow from the Catalans with the corresponding tie. Nor were the locals a concrete wall in defense when Waltinho pierced Dídac Plana's goal on up to four occasions, in a poker that did not help the team to take at least one point. From throw-ins and corner kicks, in transitions and even in a penalty (Kokoro was tender), the Jimbee rowed and rowed to bring equality in a night always against the tide.
After the break the two teams did buckle up better. At first it didn't seem like it, when Ferrao (6-5) and again Waltinho the next blink (6-6) shook up the game again. From that moment until almost the end, the reality is that Jimbee deserved to be worthy of the victory: Dídac Plana completed a true exhibition between the sticks with more than fifteen saves, some so spectacular and into the top corner to the despair of Mellado. The Meloneros did not kill and Barça emerged at the end, in a corner that Adolfo finished off without much opposition to the umpteenth regret of Duda on the wing. Already desperate, on a counterattack, Pito scored the eighth.
