The head of the local administration said in an online message that three missiles destroyed a fuel storage depot in the eastern Ukrainian town of Novomoskovsk on Saturday.
Valentin Reznichenko posted a photo of what he said was a massive fire in the warehouse. Novomoskovsk is located to the northeast of the regional capital, Dnipro.
Reznichenko later said that 11 people had been injured and one of them was in critical condition.
For his part, an official from the separatist leaders said that a strong explosion shook, today, Saturday, an area near the Ukrainian city of Severodonetsk, where an orange cloud was seen rising in the sky.
And Rodion Miroshnik posted a video clip on the “Telegram” application of what he said was the cloud.
Miroshnik said he could not tell if the explosion occurred in or near the city.
And in Severodonetsk, which has seen battles between Russian and Ukrainian forces for weeks, there is an “Azot” chemical plant where hundreds of civilians are sheltering.
