The Special Forces for Environmental Security in Saudi Arabia have arrested a Saudi citizen for violating the environment system in the Riyadh region, for possessing endangered wildlife (three lions), which is a violation of the environmental system and the executive regulations for trafficking in wild creatures and their products and derivatives, according to Okaz.
The Special Forces for Environmental Security stated that regular procedures were applied against him and referred to the Public Prosecution, and coordination with the National Center for Wildlife Development to receive the creatures by virtue of jurisdiction, stressing that the penalty for violating the possession of endangered wildlife is a fine of up to (30) million riyals, and imprisonment for up to up to 10 years, or one of these two penalties.
