An dog saved its owner’s lifea 52-year-old woman, who was about to be attacked with a knife by her ex-partner in Bolivia and the animal was stabbed and is now in recovery.
It is about Jackson, a black dog that was raised by the woman and her children, who became a “hero” by stand between the assailant who had a knifea fact that was recorded in the highland city of Oruro and that was known this Tuesday.
“The lady’s dog comes out in defense of its owner and the subject begins to stab the poor animal, these circumstances are used by the victim to be able to ask the neighbors for help,” reported the director of the Special Force to Fight Violence in Oruro, Bolivia, Jose Bernal.

The dog has several head and body injuries due to the attack and was referred to the Forestry and Environmental Protection Police (Pofoma) for his recovery, Bernal said.
Meanwhile, the aggressor was arrested by the Police and is now at the disposal of the Public Ministry, added Bernal.
For her part, the Oruro prosecutor, Katherine Rojas, explained to the media that the man arrived at the victim’s house while intoxicated, insulting her, while the woman’s children came to her defense. In that the assailant went to his room and took out a knife.
“In the attempt to stab the lady, this act is interfered with by the house dog and he is the one who receives the stab wounds for saving the life of his owner,” Rojas said.
The aggressor will have to face two open processes against him, the first for attempted femicide against his ex-partner, since it also seems that the man has a “long history of violence against his ex-concubine.
He will also be investigated for attempted biocide and cruel treatment for the serious injuries received by the dog.
For his part, the aggressor stated that his intention was not to attack his ex-concubine, but to defend himself against the dog.

From January to April 3 of this year, 23 femicides have been reported in Bolivia, according to data from the Public Ministry.
The National Executive declared 2022 as the “Year of the Cultural Revolution for Depatriarchalization for a Life Free of Violence Against Women” in the face of the recurring events that place Bolivia among the most violent countries in the region.
