The employees of a cafe in Budapest decided to deceive a foreign tourist and brought him a cup of coffee for 210 thousand forints (about 50 thousand rubles). About it writes Berliner Zeitung.
A tourist from Germany, vacationing in a popular European city, decided to go to one of the capital’s cafes and order a cup of coffee. The man was very indignant when they brought him a bill for 210 thousand forints (about 50 thousand rubles), and refused to pay. In response, the waiters began to scare him that they would call the police, as well as threaten him with violence.
The conflict attracted the attention of a plainclothes policeman – the owners of the cafe were arrested on suspicion of extortion. It was reported that this scheme of deception is widespread in Budapest, so law enforcement agencies often catch intruders red-handed.
Earlier in October, a frequently traveling Russian uncovered common tricks that inexperienced tourists fall for. The man urged to be attentive in a foreign country and “treat everything with suspicion.” In his opinion, in an unfamiliar place, a person often cannot concentrate and loses vigilance, which is used by scammers.
