Investigators of the Novosibirsk region opened a criminal case over the incitement to riot. This on Saturday, January 23, reported on website of the regional office of the Investigative Committee.
According to him, in January 2021 in Novosibirsk, unidentified users of social networks published messages containing calls for mass riots accompanied by violence, pogroms, arson, destruction of property, the use of weapons, explosive devices, explosives, poisonous or other substances and items posing a danger for others. In addition, the participants in the unauthorized actions on January 23 were asked to put up armed resistance to the authorities represented by the police.
The linguistic examination ruled that the published messages contain destructive messages in relation to the authorities.
“The carried out operational-search measures identified the person who made the calls. It turned out to be a 20-year-old resident of Novosibirsk. The suspect was detained under Art. 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, gave testimony regarding his correspondence on the Internet with other users, “the message says.
A search was conducted at the place of residence of the defendant. Interrogation of witnesses is in progress. In the near future, the investigation will go to court with a petition to choose a preventive measure.
The department indicated that the circumstances of the crime are being established. The investigation of the criminal case was taken under personal control by the head of the investigation department.

In recent days, calls have been spread on the Internet to go out to illegal actions, to which teenagers have been called to go.
On Thursday, the hashtag #ChildrenVnePolitiki was launched on the Internet to ensure the safety of minors in connection with calls for unauthorized actions. They try to manipulate children and adolescents mainly through social networks.
By taking part in unauthorized activities, children expose themselves to the risk of being involved in riots, delinquency and crime. Minors can be traumatized by people in crowds. In addition, for participation in illegal actions, a fine from 10 thousand to 20 thousand rubles or compulsory work for a period of 100 hours, or arrest for up to 15 days is provided.
In turn, the Prosecutor General’s Office demanded to restrict access to sites that publish calls for teenagers to take part in illegal actions on that day.
On January 20, Roskomnadzor demanded that TikTok and VKontakte remove calls for minors to participate in the protests. Later, the Prosecutor General’s Office also demanded to restrict access to websites that publish calls for teenagers to take part in illegal actions on the coming Saturday.
Navalny was detained at Sheremetyevo airport on January 17 upon his return from Berlin. The procedure was carried out by the officers of the search department of the FPS. According to the department, the blogger was on the wanted list for multiple violations of the probationary period from December 29, 2020.
At the same time, the Federal Penitentiary Service in Moscow took into account the fact that since August 22 last year, the Russian has been treated in the Berlin clinic “Charite”. According to the clinic, he was discharged on September 23, but the blogger did not respond to the notice of his appearance on October 23 and did not appear on registration, according to which he was put on the wanted list.
Only in November did Navalny send a notification to the Federal Penitentiary Service that he was living in Berlin, where he was restoring his health. He did not provide official confirmation of treatment after discharge.
A court in Khimki near Moscow on January 18 arrested Navalny for 30 days.
