Police opened a criminal investigation into hooliganism after about 20 people staged a massive brawl with shooting at the Auchan store in the Troika shopping center in central Moscow. This was reported on Saturday, July 31st, by law enforcement agencies.
“A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Hooliganism with the use of weapons”) after a mass fight with shooting that took place the day before in the “Auchan” store in the “Troika” shopping center on Verkhnyaya Krasnoselskaya street “, – said TASS police source.
In addition, according to the interlocutor of the agency, after the mass brawl, the police detained and taken to the territorial police department about 50 people.
He also noted that, according to preliminary data, the fight began after one of the parties to the conflict insulted another, people stood up for him and attacked in a crowd.
The conflict took place on July 30 on Krasnoselskaya Street. It is clarified that two groups of young people became its participants, and one of those present used a traumatic pistol. One of the eyewitnesses to the fight between the two groups reported that he heard a shot. It was reported that after a mass brawl, law enforcement officers took more than 30 detainees to the police station.
Earlier, on July 29, police detained 70 people after a mass brawl near a hotel on Bolshevik Avenue in St. Petersburg. A scuffle involving dozens of citizens took place near the White Nights Hotel. The message about a mass brawl was received by law enforcement officers on the morning of July 28. Of the 70 detainees, 13 were taken to the police department. According to preliminary data, the verbal skirmish turned into a fight, two people were injured.
